Why Grace Terrace is important

Grace Terrace, is a 25-unit facility for people with mental and physical disabilities, with a preference for veterans, and that has on-site supportive services like counseling. It is important for Arlington Heights. This affordable facility would have trained staff that would help residents be self- sufficient, manage their funds more effectively and provide them with a healthier lifestyle.

There is community support for this project from directors of the Veterans Administration Hines Hospital and the Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County, Cook County Commissioners and others. Many Arlington Heights residents know an adult who would benefit from living independently, but live close to their parents’ home.

The Arlington Heights Mayor and Board of Trustees have the opportunity to bring Grace Terrace, 1519 S. Arlington Heights Rd. to Arlington Heights and a YES vote from them would make this happen.
