Naperville police investigate armed robbery

Naperville police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred shortly just before 5 a.m. Friday at a business on the 4900 block of South Route 59.

Police said the offender, armed with a handgun, stole an undisclosed amount of money and a necklace from an employee. No one was injured.

Police described the male offender as wearing black pants, a black hooded shirt, black gloves and a mask. No other identifying information was available.

Police said the man left on foot, though they believe he may have been dropped off at the business in a white sedan.
