Batavia seeks artists for mural

The Batavia Public Art Initiative and The Conservation Foundation are collaborating on a project to create a mural series on the east side of the Jeffrey D. Schielke Government Center in Batavia.

Multiple artists are sought to transform a series of boarded windows. The murals will connect viewers to the beauty, importance, and diversity of the Fox River and the communities the river runs through.

A juried committee will pick the artists and award them $600 apiece. Submissions are due Friday, July 19.
