Too much ego in politics
Unfortunately, today too many politicians from both parties run for personal status and not for the good of the country and the constituents they supposedly represent. Ego has unfortunately replaced civic duty for far too many and it is up to us, the voters, to start weeding out the egotists and elect people who truly care about America in order to get us off the self-destructive path we are on. Far too many politicians have become very wealthy since being elected. Why? How? Perhaps we really need to get rid of lobbyists and get back to honest politics (if that’s possible).
