Free 50+ Active Retirement Fair Aug. 7 at Schaumburg Township Library

The Institute for Continued Learning at Roosevelt University (ICL), the Schaumburg Township District Library and the Township of Schaumburg are excited to announce the inaugural 50+ Active Retirement Fair from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Schaumburg Library’s Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

The fair aims to connect individuals seeking an active retirement with organizations that offer local volunteer, recreational and lifelong learning opportunities for retirees.

“Facing retirement can be a difficult time in a person’s life,” said Sheila Schwartz, ICL Board vice president. “People often focus on the financial aspects of retirement, but not necessarily the social or cultural aspects. The 50+ Active Retirement Fair will present the many post-career enrichment options our community has to offer.”

No registration is required for this free event. To learn more about the event, visit https://www.schaumburglibrary.org/events?id=10561732.
