Driver cited after crashing into Bartlett police car

A LaGrange man was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign after Bartlett police say he crashed into a squad car Wednesday afternoon.

Raymond Heise, 75, received the citation following the collision at Oneida and Western avenues in Bartlett, police said.

Bartlett police reported Heise was driving his 2023 GMC Terrain west on Oneida when he failed to stop at the Western Avenue intersection and crashed into the police vehicle traveling south.

Both Heise and the police officer were transported to a hospital for injuries not considered life threatening.

Police closed the intersection for approximately 40 minutes to conduct the investigation.
