Little standing between Trump, White House

The Supreme Court has just totally and completely excused the former president ringing up state government officials and begging them to choose his electors, rather than the electors chosen by the people.

Given that the Supreme Court has, in the words of Justice Sotomayor, opened the door for the assassination of political rivals by the sitting president, the only thing standing between Donald Trump and the White House is the mercy of an outgoing lame duck without anything to lose.
