Officials: No injuries reported in Pingree Grove barn fire
No injuries were reported in a Thursday afternoon fire that remains under investigation, according to the Pingree Grove & Countryside Fire Protection District.
The fire department received a call at around 4:05 p.m. about a barn fire on the 9N000 block of Corron Road near Pingree Grove, according to a news release.
The first crews arrived around 4:12 p.m. and requested additional help just before 5 p.m. due to the severity of the fire, the release stated. It took firefighters until 5:16 p.m. to extinguish the fire.
There were no animals in the barn, but it contained a small workshop and several items. Damages are estimated to be roughly $75,000, according to officials.
The cause is still undetermined.
