Expect delays at Northwest Highway and Route 53 in Palatine

Palatine officials say drivers should expect delays in the area of Northwest Highway and Route 53 due to construction work expected to be complete by the end of August.

The work involves the installation of a new water main the right of way. Traffic delays at the intersection of Northwest Highway and the Route 53 ramps are expected, and at times there will be lane reductions on Northwest Highway during business hours.
