Officials: No injuries reported in fire outside Gurnee car dealership

A Wednesday evening fire at Gurnee Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram remains under investigation, Gurnee Fire Department officials said.

According to officials, the department received a call at 6:52 p.m. from people on the premises.

Firefighters arrived at the scene, 7255 Grand Avenue, at 6:55 p.m. and found material burning outside the building. The fire did not make its way inside the building.

The fire was extinguished by about 7:02 p.m., and there were no injuries reported.

The extent of the damage is estimated to be about $400, but the cause is still undetermined, officials said.
