Burr Ridge senior celebrates her 102nd birthday

A Burr Ridge senior recently surpassed the centenarian club.

Hazel Linne, a resident of Harvester Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, celebrated her 102nd birthday June 16 with family and friends at the community located at 150 S. Frontage Road in Burr Ridge.

The former beautician also dabbled in interior design and real estate. In her free time, she was an award-winning curler. Married for 50 years to Herb, Linne is the proud mother of daughter Wendy.

Linne attributes her longevity to her childhood working on the farm and rising cows and chickens. She offers words of wisdom to the younger generation: “Be sure to stay active, keep in shape and get plenty of sunlight,” Linne said.
