Avoid political hysteria and bandwagons
Nobody should cheer the 34 convictions of Donald Trump for two reasons.
First, the matter is not over. There is a very definite possibility that the trial will be overturned. Do not cheer now and look like a fool later. This is not a sports game. It is terrible that government leaders are functioning like a grade school football game with no umpires and it is the fault of both parties. The people of the United States are the victims. Try to not be sucked into the hysteria and bandwagons.
Second, it is very bad to convict a former president as a criminal. It will have international repercussions. We are already the laughingstock of the world. No matter which way this matter eventually ends, it will be bad for the U.S. It is already bad. We need better leaders and better political parties.
