Carol Stream Park District welcomes new board commissioner Adam Parisi

The Carol Stream Park District board and staff welcomed Adam Parisi as the new commissioner at the June 10 meeting at the Fountain View Recreation Center. He was sworn in by executive director Sue Rini.

Parisi was appointed to complete a term that was left vacant by the resignation of former park commissioner Anthony Del Preto who had to step down due to work commitments.

The park board selected Parisi because of his long-standing volunteer services to the park district and his desire to give back to the community. His professional background also brings governmental accounting knowledge. Parisi will remain on the board until April 2025, at which point he will be eligible to run for reelection in order to retain the seat.

Parisi is a 12-year resident of Carol Stream. He and his spouse, Marcee, have three children who are active in baseball, softball and basketball. Parisi is completing 25 years of experience in public education and is the chief school business official in Park Ridge-Niles School District 64.

Parisi received a B.S Degree from Illinois State University, his doctorate from Aurora University, and his CSBO license and Superintendent’s License (Ed.S.) from Northern Illinois University.

Parisi’s dedication to his family and community, and his support of the recreational opportunities offered by the park district will make him a valuable member of the park board and their service to the residents of Carol Stream Park District.
