Carol Stream’s Our Savior Lutheran Church welcomes new pastor
On Sunday, July 21, the Rev. Kenneth Estes will be installed as the next pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carol Stream.
“I’m excited to be joining you in ministry at Our Savior Lutheran Church,” said Pastor Estes in an open letter to the congregation.
Born in New Jersey, Estes attended high school in Florida. He received his Bachelor in Science in Behavioral Psychology at the University of Florida. After three years in medical school, he felt called to ministry. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in May 2024.
In June 2024, he will be ordained a pastor at his home church in Florida.
The Rev. Allan R. Buss, president of the Northern Illinois District of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod, will preside at Estes’ installation ceremony at 4 p.m. at Our Savior, 1244 W. Army Trail Road. The community is invited to witness the installation ceremony.
Sunday worship is at 9:30 a.m. in-person and livestreamed on Facebook.
