Aurora Lions to install new officers June 20
The Aurora Lions Club will install 2024-25 officers at a dinner program Thursday, June 20.
Open to the public for the first time, the event will be held at Aurora Country Club, 1548 Prairie St. in Aurora.
Activities get underway at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar. At 6 p.m., a cookout dinner will include grilled chicken, hamburgers and brats. After the dinner, officers will be installed.
Dinner tickets are $41. Deadline to make reservations is Wednesday, June 12. Visit auroralionsclub.org for reservations.
Officers to be installed are Randy Brown and Susan Koepke, co-presidents; Jay Short, first vice president; Tom Muth, second vice president; Joe Beary, treasurer; Bobby Menendez, secretary; and Paul Buddy, Tail Twister. Directors are Becky Dunnigan, Tom Muth, Dick Schindel and Tom Voigt.
Members voted new officers at the club's May 2 meeting. Nominating committee members were Michele Needham, chairperson; Joe Beary and Tom Muth.
Founded in 1922, Aurora Lions Club is celebrating its second century of community service.
Open to men and women interested in community service, the club meets at noon on the first and third Thursdays at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora. Prospective members are invited. Visit auroralionsclub.org for more information.
