Annual fishing derby scheduled in Busse Woods

Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison will host his sixth annual Outdoors Day and fishing derby on Saturday, June 15 within Busse Woods near Elk Grove Village.

The derby is from 9 a.m. to noon at Grove #25 at Busse Lake. Participants are encouraged to register in advance at https://bit.ly/BusseLakeFishing61524. The event is free and participants do not need a fishing license.

Food will be available for purchase from Inches Taco Truck, and a number of community partners will have tables including the Arlington Anglers Fishing Club, Brookfield Zoo, Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove and Minds with Motion.
