Palatine offering free loans of life jackets for children

The Palatine Fire Department, in cooperation with the Boat/US Foundation, is again offering free loaner life jackets for children this summer.

Life jackets available are able to fit children up to 90 pounds with a chest size up to 29”. If possible, bring your child or children with you to ensure life jackets fit properly.

Basic information, such as a driver’s license number, will be required in order to check out a life jacket for up to two weeks.
