Keeping Our Kids Safe campaign kicks off June 7
The Boys & Girls Club of Lake County will host a community education and outreach campaign, “Keeping Our Kids Safe,” to raise awareness and promote safety in recognition of Gun Violence Awareness Month.
The campaign will kick off from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 7 with a celebration of life at 724 S. Genesee St., Waukegan.
The free public event will include educational resources, food and drinks, bounce houses, Touch-a-Truck, face painting and more.
A special program and moment of silence, as well as an AimForPeace art installation to honor lost loved ones, including a former club alumnus, will be held.
