Des Plaines Park Board reorganizes for 2024-2025; Eli Williams sworn in as park board president
In the annual reorganization of the Des Plaines Park District Board of Commissioners at the May 21 park board meeting, nominations for officers were offered and unanimously confirmed by commissioners.
Eli Williams will serve as president for the 2024-2025 fiscal year; James Grady will serve as vice president, and Erin Doerr was confirmed as treasurer. Williams appointment follows one year of serving as a park board vice president in 2023-2024.
Williams expressed gratitude for the chance to serve as board president, highlighting the opportunity to enhance Des Plaines' community offerings.
“Stepping into the role of board president fills me with immense pride,” said Williams. “I am dedicated to serving the Des Plaines community by providing exceptional parks, facilities and recreational activities. I would like to thank Commissioner Jana Haas for her leadership during the past year as president of the board of commissioners, and in her continued role as commissioner.”
