Wood Dale Historical Society to host program on ‘Civil War Quilts’ May 25

On Saturday, May 25, the Wood Dale Historical Society will host “Civil War Quilts: Secret Codes to Freedom on the Underground Railroad” by Connie Martin at 2 p.m. at the Wood Dale Public Library, 520 N. Wood Dale Road.

Martin is a retired teacher that has presented this quilt codes program for many years to the raves of many! What do the patterns mean, how does it fit into the generations of Americans.
