Concerts in the park in Hawthorn Woods to kick off season
Concerts in the Park series in Hawthorn Woods begins June 7 at the gazebo in Community Park, on the north side of Old McHenry Road east of Midlothian Road.
The series runs Fridays through Aug. 16, except July 5 and includes local talent playing a variety of genres for all ages.
Food vendors are booked every week and begin service by 6 p.m. for the shows that run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There is no admission charge.
The season starts with Big D & The Nomads, classic and southern rock. Vendors are Mario’s Cart & Tito Ice Cream Truck. Visit vhw.org.
