Elgin police investigating shooting that left man injured

Suspects are in custody in connection with a shooting that injured a man Sunday evening in Elgin, police said.

According to Elgin police, officers responded at 6:42 p.m. to the reported shooting in the 500 block of North McLean Boulevard. They arrived at the scene found a man with apparent nonlife-threatening injuries. He was later taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Detectives from the Elgin Police Department’s Major Investigations Division have people in custody and continue to investigate, police said.
