Fire extinguished at Naperville bar

Naperville firefighters quickly put out a small fire in a shuttered bar on Saturday morning.

Crews were dispatched to the former Miss Kitty’s Saloon, 634 E. Ogden Ave., at 8:14 a.m. after a 911 caller reported seeing flames in the window of the building, authorities said.

Firefighters forced entry into the structure and extinguished the fire with a pump can extinguisher, officials said.

The scene was deemed under control by 8:23 a.m. Fire companies remained there for another hour to perform overhaul, ventilate the structure and ensure the fire did not spread to other parts of the commercial building.

There were no injuries reported. The cause is under investigation.
