Pair charged with aggravated battery of Bartlett police officers

Two people face felony aggravated battery charges alleging they assaulted Bartlett police officers responding to a reported domestic disturbance Sunday.

Shawn Milliner, 29, of Bartlett also is charged with resisting a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer and attempted aggravated assault, police said. He also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a domestic battery charge, according to police.

In addition to the felony charge, Tamara Milliner, 28, of Maywood faces a Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest charge.

According to Bartlett police, officers were dispatched at about 10 p.m. Sunday to a townhouse in the 400 block of Nicole Drive to investigate a report of a disturbance.

Following their investigation, police alleged Tamara Milliner struck an officer and then resisted as officers attempted to take her into custody. They also allege Shawn Milliner grabbed an officer’s arm and resisted efforts to take him into custody.

Both were released pending scheduled court appearances June 10 at the DuPage County courthouse in Wheaton.
