There must be a way to have peace without bloodshed

Do you want to live in a country that favors government run by a dictator, autocrat, or fascist? I believe in predictable democracy, in which, the president takes a vow to protect our constitution. I want to believe in our justice system and Supreme Court. A respected justice system is the bedrock to a functioning democracy. In America, we live by laws. That includes, the right to vote.

Our former president speaks highly of dictators. Dictators hold most or total power over government. America allows citizens to live in freedom, to pledge allegiance to the United States of America.

Why does the former president want to take us out of NATO? Russia and China are getting friendlier with other countries that lean toward controlled governments, which translates into controlled citizens. Freedom is lost. Why does the former president back Putin in the Ukraine war? In 2014, Ukraine turned their back on Russian control. The price paid is Russian aggression. a needless war over land.

Born during World War II, I was school and college age during the Korea war, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laotian wars. Later, came Iraq and more tragic killing. We watched a sad 20-year war in Afghanistan. America watched Syrian citizens exposed to chemical warfare deaths. We saw Crimea fall. There have been countless wars in Africa and around the world. with an increase in unstable leaders and nuclear weapons — a third world war may end civilization.

It is time for Israel, Gaza and all Palestinians to find peace and prosperity without the backing of terrorist groups. It is time for the Middle East countries on Israel’s border to negotiate peace.

There is a love for Israel that makes one believe real peace without bloodshed can be accomplished It will take a will and merciful forgiveness.
