Woman accused of violating order of protection, battering homeowner in Bartlett

A Texas woman has been charged with criminal trespass to a residence, battery and violation of an order of protection following investigation of a reported disturbance on May 2.

Shaday A. Harris, 30, of Katy, Texas remained detained after an initial hearing court hearing May 7.

Bartlett police reported that at about 6:30 p.m. May 2, officers were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of Wayne Court about a reported a disturbance.

After the investigation, police accused Harris of unlawfully entering the residence in violation of an order of protection and committing a battery against the homeowner before fleeing.

Harris’ next court date is scheduled for May 29 at the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
