Lake Zurich man facing child porn ordered held without bail

A Lake Zurich man facing child pornography charges will remain jailed until his trial, a judge ordered.

Jared Honegger, 24, was ordered held indefinitely Thursday by Judge Ari Fisz, according to a news release and email from the Lake County state’s attorney’s office.

Honegger was arrested Tuesday at his home by Lake County sheriff’s deputies and charged with four counts of child pornography.

A search of Honegger’s phone uncovered more than 90 images and videos of child pornography, many involving children younger than 13, authorities said.

Honegger is next scheduled to appear in court May 28.
