Think twice about president’s successes

President Biden closed down Keystone XL not only to save our environment but most certainly our economy, since the U.S. has more than enough oil reserves and does not depend on obtaining if from others countries. Quite the contrary, the U.S. can and does export clean fuel to last until we are able to obtain clean energy through environmentally friendly resources.

A new report from Cornell University's Global Labor Institute shows how the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline is an economic liability with the potential to cause significant job losses from a major tar sands spill.

Biden saved the lives of more than 3,000 troops stationed in Afghanistan by withdrawing our troops before they would get overwhelmed by the Taliban that had already surrounded Kabul. We had no business there anyway. Sadly, he had to achieve that within one week in order to keep the deadline set by Trump.

Biden was stopped by the Republicans to install a decent border crossing, the way they used to have in Ellis Island where our ancestors were vetted and recorded. The Republican house did not allow him to go forward with an orderly immigration policy and immigration will never stop. Now they complain.

Biden had planned on a student loan payback, not because he wanted to win votes, but because he wanted to make the lives of most students less stressful with an affordable education.

Biden is encouraging our buying power, standard of living and retirement savings despite a disastrous decline of economy in other countries around the world and increasing climate change.

Biden is able through diplomacy and not childish love declarations to avoid wars with Iran, Russia and China.

Maybe some of us should think twice before maligning Biden.
