Donate to The Outreach House during Giving DuPage Days May 1-3

The Outreach House is part of DuPage County’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Giving DuPage Days beginning May 1.

They are hosting many nonprofit charities on a special website that is easily accessible. Donate any amount, large or small to help The Outreach House in Lombard meet their fundraising goal of $75,000.

Now in its second year of serving the community, the number of families now served has increased to 450 weekly. Locally, they have seen a 70% increase in the number of visits to The Outreach House for services.

While many of our families are now able to be on their own, many more have come to need the assistance offered in Outreach House programs - First Things First, food pantry, clothes closet, and walk-in assistance. As they launch new programs based on community requirements, increased support and donations are needed.

They are asking donors to help The Outreach House keep up with the increased need. They are trying very hard to work things out in this fragile economy with costs going up in food, clothing, baby care, health, transportation and education, while minimum wages are still not enough to run a household.

The Outreach House is asking you to dig deep and donate as they care for these guests. As you know, that’s what is needed, caring for others - all around. Spread the word to all your friends, family, neighbors - even casual acquaintances!
