Children meet a little visitor at Shepherd of the Prairie Church

For the past 12 years, Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley has had a special guest on Good Shepherd Sunday.

“This year was no exception on Sunday, April 21,” said Senior Pastor Mark Boster, “as the young and young at heart enjoyed welcoming a lamb to worship, along with some additional special time with children during the Kids Connect.”

Children relished their time with the lamb and learning about the scripture in which Jesus explained, “I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father, and I will lay down my life for the sheep.”

Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, located at 10805 Main St., has served the Huntley community for over 20 years. It is led by Senior Pastor Mark Boster and Pastor Ryan Mackey.
