Naperville announces new grants to benefit mental health

The city of Naperville is making two new grant opportunities available to agencies that provide mental health and opioid remediation programs.

The grants were announced Monday in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

The city has set aside $250,000 for grants benefiting agencies that focus on mental health services. The city also has set aside $100,000 of its opioid settlement funds to benefit groups that provide opioid remediation programs.

Grant applications are due May 31. School districts, medical providers, faith communities and other groups are welcome to apply. Organizations are not required to be a 501c3 to be eligible for a grant. Additional information is available on the city’s website.
