Man found dead in street identified as Gurnee resident

Autopsy results withheld as investigation continues

A man found dead on a Gurnee street early Monday has been identified as village resident Luis Guzman, 31.

The results of an autopsy were not released because it is an active investigation, the Lake County Coroner’s Office said in a news release Tuesday afternoon.

Police responding to a report of an unresponsive man lying in the street at Dorchester Avenue and Estes Street found Guzman, who may have been dragged by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
