Naperville Park District to open synthetic ball field

The Naperville Park District will celebrate the opening of its new synthetic turf ball field at the DuPage River Sports Complex.

Festivities will be held at 9 a.m. on May 11, rain or shine, and will feature Chicago White Sox mascot, Southpaw. The synthetic turf ball field is the result of a partnership with the park district and Naperville Little League, which also partners with the Chicago White Sox.

“The Naperville Park District is fortunate to have great community partners like Naperville Little League,” Naperville Park District Executive Director Brad Wilson said. “It’s relationships like these that help us provide wonderful recreational opportunities for our community.”

The Naperville Little League, in partnership with the park district, expects to transition other ball fields to synthetic turf.
