Naperville’s Hobson School to host fundraiser April 28

Hobson School, a cooperative preschool in Naperville, will host its annual spring social fundraiser on Sunday, April 28 at 6 p.m. at The Farmhouse event venue in Plainfield.

The adults-only event will include a cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live band, signature craft cocktails, and a dessert station.

Attendees will be able to participate in a silent auction, raffle, and live auction. Proceeds will support school programming, necessary classroom updates, and a newly reimagined play yard.

Hobson School is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. As the oldest preschool in Naperville, it was founded as a cooperative in 1964 by parents who wanted to provide a play-based early childhood education for their children.

Parents, teachers, community supporters, and alumni from throughout the school’s history will gather for Sunday’s event.

Alumni parent Patty Patrapas will share about her family’s time at Hobson, which includes her four children and one grandchild attending the school, as well as Patrapas’s involvement on the school’s advisory board.

All are welcome to attend. Tickets can be purchased at springsocial24.givesmart.com through the day of the event.
