Buffalo Grove resident killed in Wheeling crash

Wheeling police on Friday said the woman who died following a two-vehicle crash earlier this week was Buffalo Grove resident Ava Gable-Preze.

Authorities had been withholding Gable-Preze’s identity until her family could be notified.

The collision happened about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday on Lake-Cook Road near Northgate Parkway. Gable-Preze’s 2018 Buick Encore crossed a median into oncoming traffic and hit a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, police said. The other driver survived.
