Tickets for Chicago stop of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ go on sale May 13

Broadway in Chicago announced tickets for the Tony Award-winning play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” go on sale Monday, May 13, for the Chicago leg of the North American tour.

Previews begin Sept. 10 at the James M. Nederlander Theatre, 24 W. Randolph St., Chicago. The most successful nonmusical production in Broadway history, the show has sold more than 2.5 million tickets since it opened there in 2018.

The story by J.K. Rowling, playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany picks up where the last Harry Potter film left off. Nearly 20 years after Harry, Ron and Hermione saved the wizarding world, they join their children on a new adventure involving Harry’s son Albus and his friend Scorpius Malfoy, son of Harry’s rival Draco.

Tickets range from $49 to $193. They’re available at the box office or online at broadwayinchicago.com.
