Calling all climate champions: Help put Kane County’s Climate Action Plan into action

Kane County is in the process of adopting its first Climate Action Implementation Plan (CAIP). The CAIP sets goals and offers a list of actions aimed at reducing countywide greenhouse gas emissions and improving resilience to climate impacts.

The CAIP serves as a tool to support Kane County residents and businesses in identifying and implementing ways to achieve climate goals.

Kane County is now looking for volunteers to help put the plan into action.

No experience in climate science is necessary and Kane County residency is not required. The application is open to individuals, age 15 or older. Parent or guardian approval is required for applicants who are under 18 years old.

To get involved, submit an application by Saturday, June 1. Find the application via www.kanecountyconnects.com/preview/KaneCountyClimateActionPlan-Volunteers.
