Learn about plan to improve Lake County’s Manitou Creek

The Lake County Stormwater Management Commission is hosting a public meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday to gather public input on their watershed plan for the Manitou Creek-Fish Lake area.

The meeting will take place at the Round Lake Area Public Library, 906 Hart Road in Round Lake. It will include an overview of water quality impairments and discussion of the types of projects that could be included to address water quality issues.

The plan will cover the portions of Lake County that drain to Manitou Creek, including the Fish Lake Drain watershed. It will identify practices, projects, and programs that can be implemented by stakeholders to reduce pollution and flood damage, and protect natural resources.
