State wrong to put so much focus on vapes

The FDA, Congress and state governments all across the U.S. are actively working to remove flavored vapes from the market

We are a new business and this can potentially shut us out of business. They keep bringing up youth. Illinois does not care one bit about the youth. If they did, they would be tackling the shootings, drug overdoses and how about alcohol that's also flavored that the youth steal every day from stores and cause 5,000-plus alcohol related deaths just in Illinois.

People are shooting each other and businesses are getting robbed and cars are being stolen, but they want to focus on removing flavor for nicotine and cause a black market in the street that the state won't make any money on. Flavored vaping is a much healthier alternative. Look at the statistics of vape-related lung injury in the whole USA and just in Illinois

I support more punishable fines/laws behind selling to a minor, but the state is putting it like every smoke/vape shop just sells to kids, which is wrong. Since 2019, there has been a 60% decrease among youth and vaping. Flavor has nothing to do with this.

I'd much rather sell a vape than a pack of cigarettes. This has nothing to do with the youth. This is simply Big Tabacco wanting everybody to smoke cigarettes, because these vaping companies are eating their money up. Deny Bill #HB5069.

If the state really cared about lives and our youth, flavored nicotine wouldn't be what they're tackling. This is the least of our problems.
