Anti-woman bias 50 years after Title IX

As an old white male, I still remember the 1970s when Title IX’s impact on sports was being discussed prior to its adoption. Countless gurus contended the whole idea was absurd because girls were neither interested in nor capable of doing sports. Besides, even if they were, nobody would ever want to watch them. Fifty years later, we have many women who are very skilled in their sport along with numerous people who are willing to pay top dollar to watch them. Obviously, the idea is no longer absurd.

Now, we see Bernie Lincicome finds “Women’s basketball has joined the general silliness” (DH 4/7/24). I guess, some attitudes never change. They just use different words.
