Getting overexcited about natural phenomena

What does it take for scientists and the media to give some credit to Mother Nature?

We have an earthquake in the East which sets everybody in a frenzy. We also have a solar eclipse which is exciting people because there is not much danger associated with it. Both of these have the media and natives intrigued and excited.

But why? These and other natural occurrences such as hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, cyclones, etc., have been happening for thousands/millions of years. And so has “global warming,” only the process for it is not over seconds or an hour or a day but thousands of years and has been commonly referred to as the final stages of an Ice Age.

So then why are we concerned about something we have no control over? Please all of you “climate changers” (Including the Daily Herald) look at the studies and see what part of the problem is caused by man and what part is caused by our dear mother — nature.

Please let us know, because to this point, I don’t think we have ever seen a breakdown as to who has caused what percent of the damage. And while you’re at it, check on the dollars that we are spending to save the world when the biggest polluters, China and India, have no present part of it.

What’s wrong with a fact check here where our hard-earned monies are being directed? Maybe we could spend our tax dollars on something that we can actually control like homelessness, illegal aliens, international wars, etc.?

You be the judge.
