Bartlett resident charged with battery to police officer, DUI, resisting arrest

A Bartlett resident who reportedly came to the village’s police station to make a complaint was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest while she was there, police said.

Lynn Dierking, 60, was charged with a Class 3 felony for aggravated battery while the other two charges were Class A misdemeanors.

According to Bartlett police, an officer was sent to the lobby of the police station at about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday to meet with Dierking regarding a report. Police have accused Dierking of being intoxicated during her drive to the station.

Bartlett police also accused Dierking of spitting on a police officer and then resisting arrest.

Dierking was on pretrial release with an assigned court appearance at 9 a.m. Friday at the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows, which she failed to attend, police said.
