SCARCE forum to dive into regional water issues

Regional experts will discuss threats to water quality during a forum hosted by the environmental education nonprofit SCARCE in Addison next Wednesday.

The event is presented by both the Wheaton and Upper Mississippi River Region chapters of the League of Women Voters.

Featured speakers include SCARCE Executive Director Kay McKeen; Erik Neidy, director of natural resources at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County; Sarah Hunn, director of the DuPage County stormwater management department; and Gretchen Sabel, communications director of the League’s Upper Mississippi River Region chapter.

The 90-minute presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. It also will be offered virtually via Zoom. To register, visit scarce.org/event.
