Geneva church hosts spring rummage sale April 25-27

United Methodist Church of Geneva will host its annual spring rummage and bake sale from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 26; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27, at the church, 211 Hamilton St.

The sale features an assortment of gently used items, including various household products, furniture, clothes, books, games, children’s items, and more.

Check out the upstairs parlor where they sell jewelry and high-end fashion items. The church has more than two floors of great bargains and the library is filled with homemade baked goods for sale.

There will be a Fill-a-Bag Sale for $8 from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. For information, visit www.genevaumc.org.

Proceeds for last fall’s rummage sale totaled more than $12,500 and the church’s women’s ministry group was able to distribute funds to TriCity Family Services, Mutual Ground, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, Tri City Health Partnership Medical/Dental Clinic, Valley Shelter Workshop, Pullman Tech Workshop, Midwest Mission Distribution Center, Dayspring Native American UMC, Kids Alive, and Hesed House.
