Woman wins $1 million on scratch-off ticket bought in Aurora

A woman won $1 million on a $50 scratch-off ticket she bought at the Thornton’s gasoline station at 2800 Ogden Ave. in Aurora, the Illinois Lottery announced Tuesday.

The woman declined to have her name revealed. The $10 Million Instant Ticket game is the lottery’s first $50 scratch-off and started in December. The Thornton’s station will receive $10,000 for selling the ticket.

This is the fifth $1 million winner in the game.
