Algonquin to host free shredding event June 1

The Village of Algonquin, in cooperation with Groot, will offer a free document shredding event for residents of the village of Algonquin.

The event will be held Saturday, June 1, at the Algonquin Public Works Facility, 110 Mitchard Way, between 9 a.m. and noon (or until the trucks are full, whichever comes first).

Participants must verify their village of Algonquin residency. Each participating vehicle is limited to eight standard size banker boxes.

Materials accepted include standard office paper and file folders. All materials must be free of binders, binder clips, and other materials that could compromise the shredding equipment.
