Schwabe Group sponsors Sounds of Summer in downtown Arlington Heights

The Schwabe Group Compass, based in downtown Arlington Heights, has renewed its commitment to serve as the primary sponsor for Sounds of Summer concert series for the 2024 season. This year, the popular concert series will take place on Thursday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Harmony Park. This will be the third year The Schwabe Group has sponsored the event.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the village to bring live music to downtown Arlington Heights this summer,” said Realtor David Schwabe of The Schwabe Group Compass. “The Sounds of Summer provides great opportunities to get out and soak up the beautiful summer weather, enjoy our vibrant downtown, and mingle with neighbors and friends.”

This year’s Sounds of Summer concerts will be limited to Thursday nights, but the series has been extended to run for 12 weeks and features musical styles ranging from boy band covers and top 40 hits to a Blues Brothers tribute and Eagles, Chicago, Jimmy Buffet and Journey cover bands. During the event, residents can lay out blankets and chairs and have a picnic in Harmony Park while listening to the music they love.

“I’ve been an Arlington Heights resident for more than 30 years and The Schwabe Group’s offices are located right in the heart of downtown,” said Schwabe. “So I’m always looking for new ways to give back to the community that has given me so much. The Sounds of Summer concert series was the perfect way to do that while enjoying everything Arlington Heights has to offer.”

The Schwabe Group has always been active in community events, sponsoring shows at Metropolis, Arlington Heights Special Events Commission activities, and the Sounds of Summer concert series.
