‘The Voice of Whitney’ premieres this summer at Ravinia
Attention Whitney Houston fans. Tickets go on sale April 24 for the Ravinia Festival debut of “The Voice of Whitney: A Symphonic Celebration” featuring original master recordings of the singer’s voice performing such hits as “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “How Will I Know?” and “I Will Always Love You” accompanied by the Chicago Philharmonic.
“This concert event will be a perfect setting to further demonstrate Whitney’s virtuosity as a world-class artist,” said Pat Houston, executor of Houston’s estate. “More importantly, her voice will continue to spread love and joy throughout the world.”
A collaboration between the Whitney Houston estate, Park Avenue Artists and Primary Wave Music, the Aug. 30 concert at Ravinia, 200 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, will feature her filmed performances, home videos and photographs.
Tickets range from $35 to $55 and will be available at ravinia.org.
