Crosby’s Kitchen announces second location in Niles

Crosby’s Kitchen, 6480 Touhy Ave., Niles, the ninth restaurant concept by 4 Star Restaurant Group (Tuco and Blondie, Frasca, Remington’s, Smoke Daddy, The Perch, Ella Elli), will open its doors in Niles at the intersection of Touhy and Caldwell in mid to late May. With culinary operations led by 4 Star Restaurant Group’s Executive Chef Dan Harris, the 220-seat, wood-fired American concept will offer an inviting bar area, plenty of comfortable booth seating options, multiple private party areas, and a 2500-square-foot patio.

“We are very excited to open in Niles. I think we are bringing a great concept to an area that is accessible not only to Niles, but Lincolnwood, Park Ridge, Wildwood, Skokie and even Sauganash,” says 4 Star Restaurant Group Co-founder and Partner Derek Rettell. “This restaurant will be a perfect place for a night out with your partner, meeting friends for a Wrightwood Salad, or a family dinner any night of the week. Plus, kids eat free every day from 4-6.”

The Concept

The perfect location on the corner of Touhy and Caldwell, this restaurant is ready to be your everyday spot. Extra-large, U-shaped booths surround a 4-sided bar, ideal for your next happy hour. Crosby’s patio will feature an inviting fire pit, outdoor bar, and plenty of seating to enjoy beautiful summer days. The menu is straightforward American cuisine, enhanced with the flavors that come from a wood-fired grill and rotisserie. Familiar signature dishes include Rotisserie Prime Rib and Chicken, Iron Skillet Cornbread, Lobster Deviled Eggs, and of course, the signature Wrightwood Salad.

The Menu

4 Star’s Executive Chef, Dan Harris, has perfected the popular menu from the original Crosby’s over the last 8 years. The menu will feature longtime favorites along with a heavy appetizer section starring: Lobster Deviled Eggs- perfectly prepared deviled eggs with lobster tossed in a sesame aioli, Center Cut Filet Sliders- woodfire grilled, with blue cheese and caramelized onions, Fire Roasted Artichokes — seasonal, grilled artichokes, brushed with butter and served with a house made rémoulade sauce.

Sandwiches, Salads, and Entrees are the standouts at Crosby’s Kitchen. The Woodfired Rotisserie is the workhorse of the kitchen, putting out delicious favorites like: Prime Rib- seasoned with a porcini mushroom rub and served with beef au jus and horseradish cream, Rotisserie Half Chicken — slow roasted, seasoned with our signature spice rub, served with buttery mashed potatoes and roasted chicken jus, Chicken Dip Sandwich — chicken fresh off the rotisserie, Jack cheese, tomatoes, arugula on a toasted baguette with chicken au jus. Wrightwood Salad- mixed greens tossed with cornbread croutons, rotisserie chicken, avocado, tomatoes, craisins, almonds, goat cheese, and red peppers will be your new favorite.

Desserts will round out the menu and include: The Iron Skillet Cookie- a gooey chocolate chip cookie made in house, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce, Nana’s Carrot Cake — warm carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and pecans, Uncle’s Key Lime Pie — hand squeezed lime juice custard with a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream and fresh lime zest.
