Waukegan Road resurfacing project begins Monday

Intermittent lane closures are planned on Waukegan Road (Route 43) from south of Half Day Road (Route 22) in Bannockburn to Lake-Cook Road in Deerfield beginning Monday, weather permitting.

The $3.8 million project consists of resurfacing that 3.4-mile stretch of Route 43 and building new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the project, expected to be completed in October.

Delays are expected and alternate route encouraged.
